If you are interested in one (or more) of our fabulous animals, please following the following steps to adopt your new friend.

STEP ONE
Contact Save-A-Life to let them know which animal(s) you are interested in. You can contact us via

If you have found an animal in our database, let us know the Animal ID Number, animal's name (if available) and description. If you are looking for a particular type of animal, please give us a general description so we can see if we have one that is similar.

STEP TWO
We will contact you to let you know if the animal is still available for adoption. We will then make arrangements to bring the animal to one of our adoption locations so you can pick the animal up.

STEP THREE
Download and fill out an adoption screening form and bring it with you to our adoption location.

STEP FOUR
You meet us at our adoption location, and upon approval of the screening form by a Save-A-Life Adoption Counselor, we will have you agree to and sign our S-A-L adoption contract. Your Adoption Counselor will give you a mini pet care and feeding course. Any necessary treatments/vaccinations will be administered to the cat, and kitty's claws will be trimmed. Your pet will also have been spayed or neutered if the animal is over 4 months of age.

CAT ADOPTION FEES
Adoption fees start at $55.00 for adults and $75.00 for babies/youths (under one year old). Fees for special breeds, types and colors are higher (fees for these more popular cats help support the plainer varieties that often get overlooked for adoption). Our pricing is extremely competitive if you check with other agencies and organizations.

DOG ADOPTION FEES
Adoption fees range frm $75 to $150 dollar per dog. Fees for special breeds or puppies are sometimes higher since these animals support the more ordinary dogs that are often overlooked for adoption. Our pricing is extremely competitive if you check with other agencies and organizations.

BENEFITS OF ADOPTION
You will also receive a free vet exam at one of several locations (our health guarantee program), any necessary follow-up medications/shots (as indicated on your contract), cat care literature, free cat care counseling at any time, and Petco provides a coupon book which includes a coupon for free food. And most of all, you will be getting a wonderful pet who will be a loving companion for the rest of its life.

THE SAVE-A-LIFE PROMISE
If the adoption is not "made in heaven" for any reason or at any time, we will take the S-A-L cat or dog back.
