Henry Finds Toto and a New Home!

Henry2At Save-a-Life, we love hearing from those who have adopted one of our animals. We were so excited to hear about one of our recent adoptees, Henry! Henry is a Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix and was lucky enough to have met Cynthia at the Best Friends adoption fair at the La Brea Tar Pits on November 7th. Cynthia and Henry had a connection right away and we are so grateful that Henry was able to become part of Cynthia's family.

Henry is adjusting well to his new home. He has a new friend named Toto (a 15-year-old Pekingese) who you can see in the picture sharing a bed with Henry. Henry is also becoming friends with the cats he shares his home with! He is friendly with the cats and they are friendly with him, so we were thrilled to hear that. Henry has already had his first grooming appointment and received a clean bill of health from the vet!

Henry3Henry still gets a little nervous when he is left with Toto and the cats, but he is getting better. He loves being around people so it will take him a little while to feel comfortable being left alone. Henry is a great example of a successful adoption that we strive for at Save-a-Life. He has been blessed with a second chance at having a great home and he will show his gratitude to his new family every day.

Thanks to Cynthia for adopting Henry and we wish you the best of luck!

We have lots of great cats and dogs that are still looking for a home. If you are interested in adopting please contact us or stop by one of our adoption events. We would love to hear from you!
